train case

I bought a dongle from 3 so i can use my laptop on the train, the case says 3.6 mbps ?
I’m not kidding you but i checked the speed before and it’s down to 1kbps is this typical during busy periods,
The 3.6 MBPS is the MAXIMUM that the dongle can currently receive and run on your PC. you will be in a an area that will be on the outskirts of the nearest transmitter and so will only be receiving the 1MBPS you have said about.
Unfortunately these things come with allot of small print and will require allot of reading into. If you we’re in the centre of london then yes if you were not getting the 3.6 then there is definitely something wrong but if you were to then move to were i am say in north lincolnshire near the humber then we cant get anything more than 1MBPS so it really depends were you are.
Regarding this as well i would switch to 02 as currently they have a larger coverage area around GB
Also the busy periods are because people are using as much bandwidth as possible and becasue of the large amounts of people using it the company have to keep decreasing peoples share of the network to allow others on and this is why it to decreases to the slower speed.
