can i wash my makeup brushes?!?!?
i read one of the comments on what kind of brush i have. i use bare minerals makeup and thats also where i order all of my brushes from.
ive never washed my makeup brusehs in the several months that i have had them, and no wim hearing talk about people washing them? how do i wash my brushes and if i do wash them wont it make them less soft and harsh to use on my face?
Not washing your brushes, and build up of make up on the brushes will make the brushes harsh on your face.
You need to wash your make up brushes regularly to remove the build up of make up. Not doing this can lead to a build up of germs in your brush, which if brushed on to your skin, can give you pimples or other imperfections.
How ofter you wash them depends on how often you apply your make up. If you are applying everyday, I would wash the brushes you are using once a week. If you are only using them when you go out once a week, I would wash them once a month.
To wash them you simply run them under a water tap and wash with a soap or if you have a proper brush cleaning detergent use that. Dry the bristles off as much as you can with a towel and leave them to air dry. If you don’t want to leave them to air dry you can finish them off with a blow dryer.
